This clip includes some footage of the Grunwick strike 1977, followed by lots of Lewisham footage, including ALCARAF march, clashes on New Cross Road, and police being issued with riot shields in Lewisham High Street.

It's the first time I've seen footage of that day in 1977. I came over for Hendon in north west London by car in the morning. The anger associated with that march - not just protected by the police by allowed by the Labour government - was such that there were three people from my street in the car as well. One was injured and ended up in Lewisham hospital. The whole day was a credit to everyone who put their lives on the line to fight that nazi scum off the streets.
